Food was delicious, service was efficient and friendly. We are normal eaters and took 2x regular servings and it was perfect amount.

Came to Shabu House for dinner with a group of 4 on a weekend evening and was able to be seated upon our walk-in. The restaurant itself is casual, with heating elements built into the table for the shabby pots. Apparently the owner hand built all the tables themself which is a pretty cool fact. Upon being seated, we were quickly and warmly greeted by our waitress, Yenni, who guided us through the ordering process.
We opted for American style Kobe beef and lamb shabu shabu. The hot pots themselves are split so you can order two different broths to share in one bowl, which my side of the table opted for tonkatsu and spicy miso. In addition to the meat, the table is also provided assorted vegetables, rice, and udon noodles. I also added two ordered of agadashi tofu which is something I almost always order if it's on the menu.
Both the beef and the lamb were well marbled and flavorful. They were sliced to a perfect thinness that allowed them to be cooked quickly in the broth. My tonkatsu broth was rich and flavorful. The provided veggies were also in a good quantity that I didn't need to ask for more.
After eating, you have an option to order some complimentary ice cream. I opted for a matcha scoop which was very tasty with bites of sweetness and bitterness.

Be prepared to look for parking for awhile unless you're lucky. When we got here though luckily there wasn't a wait until after. The service was very nice! Just took awhile to get out meats. But everything tasted fresh and the place is clean and cute. Looks like there was a matcha soft serve that used to be inside and sad it's closed and we can't try it out. But it's ayce so not bad!

I'm not the biggest fan of Shabu. I typically don't enjoy cooking my own food but I had to try to place out. My fiancé was insisting we go. To my surprise, it was actually a very pleasant experience! We ordered the all you can eat with a drink and got the spicy miso broth. VERY good broth! And the meat options were super good. Incredibly quality and quantity! We were full by the end, honestly a great experience!! Service was great! They kept the meat coming to our table that's for sure. The owner is very nice too, he definitely knows how to keep the eatery running smoothly! I would come back here with more people next time. I think the vibe of the place would give off a fun environment for a group of people. No rushing, just enjoying!

Went here for a birthday party, this was a good place.
Pros: soup base was good, meat was good the lamb was not overwhelmingly gamey, had big portions and the Kobe beef fries was really good! The service was fast!
Ice cream comes with the meal!
Cons: when it comes to sauce there wasn't a lot to choose from.
Parking: it's in Burlingame there was a parking area around the block. Besides that there's plenty of street parking.
